Our mission is based on providing excellent & professional hospitality that exceed our guest expectation moreover to be a Memorable experience on board our Dahabiya.   • Is it safe to travel to Egypt?

    Yes, it is safe to travel to Egypt according to many Foreign Consulate Offices, including that of the United Kingdom and United States. people of Egypt are kind, helpful and peaceful. Always check the news and your country authority on travel to get advice and needed information to confirm the appropriateness of travel at the time you choose. Egypt is very keen on safety as tourism is a major income to the country.

  • Do I need a Visa for entry into Egypt?

    For Australian, American, British and most European passport holders can receive a visa upon arrival at the airport. Please check your requirements for travel with your local Egyptian consulate or embassy before coming.

  • What are the best months to travel to Egypt?

    In general Egypt has great temperatures throughout the year however the Summer months can be very hot. For this reason, we recommend traveling between early September to late June. We advise you to Check the average temperatures for each month in Luxor & Aswan and choose the best times based on your desired weather.

  • What should I pack for my trip to Egypt?

    To be comfortable for the most part, you will not need a lot of clothes or accessories packing lightly always makes your life easier.

    We recommend you to pack the following: 

    • Sunglasses

    • Hat

    • swimsuit 

    • shorts/light dress 

    • scarf/shall (for women), 

    • t-shirts 

    • comfortable walking shoes, 

    • adaptor plug, 

    • camera 

    • book to read

    In the winter December & January  you will want the following for evenings, if it is cool 

    • A jacket 

    • Trousers 

    • sweatshirt 


  • Can I use my credit/debit cards easily?

    Yes. Most places accept credit and debit cards ( Visa / Mastercard). However 

    American Express and Discover, it is limited acceptable. We recommend  carrying cash when

    shopping in street markets (souks) or in small villages.


  • What type of cuisine/food do you serve while sailing?

    We offer elegant international & local cuisine. 

  • Can you accommodate my special dietary requirements?

    Yes, Just send us an email with all your dietary restrictions so that we may accommodate them.

  • Is it safe to swim in the Nile?

    Yes, it is, We do it, if you prefer.

  • How much should I tip the crew?

    It is customary to tip between 2% and 5%, but it is not compulsory.

  • Will I be able to easily exchange Dollars, Euros, British Pounds or other currencies in Egypt?

    Yes, there are many banks and exchange offices in Egypt. Its recommended to

    exchange what’s needed when you arrive at the airport. Many touristic shops, restaurants, and bars will actually accept dollars or Euros at rates that are relatively close to the official ones. We can assist you with any exchange you need


  • Is it safe to drink the water in Egypt?

    It is highly recommended to drink only bottled water. We provide our guests with as much bottled water as needed on Dahabiya or through their tours. However you still can use tab water to brush your teeth, rinse your mouth, shower with, etc. 

  • What clothes should I wear when visiting sites?

    We recommend to wear lightweight clothes specially made of cotton or linen fabrics, It is much better to wear comfortable walking shoes instead of Sandals or High heels this is because of a lot of sands and stones in the Tombs and temples. 

  • What conditions should I expect sailing in the Nile?

    You should not feel any motion or sickness as there are no waves because of the High Dam in Aswan So The River Nile is very calm. However, it’s always recommended to have “seasickness” medication, just in case you feel any.

  • What is included in my sailing price?

    Your sailing experience include

    • Accommodation

    • Soft All inclusive including Breakfast, lunch, Dinner with soft drinks (Coffee, tea, Soda drinks) 

    • Entrance fees 

    • Local English Guide 

    • Transportation from Luxor Airport/ Luxor train station/ hotel in Luxor to /from Dahabiya and Also Aswan Airport / Aswan Train station / hotel in Aswan  to/ from Dahabiya.


  • Is alcohol available aboard?

    Alcohol is permitted on board, but you can bring your own.

  • Is WiFi available on board?

    Although it’s time to switch that phone, computer or ipad off, we have wifi on board.

  • How many people fit in a room? Can you have 3 people per room?

    No, maxim accommodation is 2 persons in a room.
